Meeting about Grange scheduled

STRODES MILLS – An informational meeting about the Grange is slated for 6 p.m. Saturday at the Fort Granville Grange hall in Strodes Mills, with officials of the Pennsylvania State Grange in attendance to answer questions.

The meeting is being held with an eye to reopening the Grange, which has a record of service to the local community for more than 75 years.

The Grange is the oldest agricultural and rural advocacy organization in the United States and was founded in 1867. Today it is a community service organization, which also allows members to have grassroots participation in legislation.

Fort Granville Grange is located at 11 Streak Circle, just off Strodes Run Road in Strodes Mills. The public is invited.
