Woman pleads guilty to sexual assault charges
LEWISTOWN – A 20-year-old Lewistown woman charged with raping a 12-year-old boy, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of statutory sexual assault on Monday.
Brandi Forshey had also been charged with rape of a child and a misdemeanor charge of indecent assault, both of which were withdrawn under a plea agreement.
Mifflin County District Attorney Dave Molek said Forshey was given a time served sentence of four-and-a-half to 23 months in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Molek said the victim’s parents were in agreement with the sentence.
Lewistown Police Department was made aware of the alleged assault by the 12-year-old boy’s mother, who initially confronted Forshey about the incident on April 7, 2013. Forshey allegedly admitted to having sexual contact with the woman’s son in April, police said.
Police officers questioned Forshey who denied the allegations and told them someone was making this up because they didn’t like her, according to court documents.
Police were later notified by the mother of a 16-year-old female that there was an online conversation on a social media website in which Forshey allegedly admitted to having sexual contact with 12-year-old. Police photographed the conversation for their records, according to court documents.
The 12-year-old boy was also interviewed by a specialist at the Child Resource Center, according to documents. During the course of the interview, the boy gave details of the alleged sexual contact he had with Forshey in the early morning hours of April 7, according to documents.
The boy told investigators Forshey asked him if he wanted to have sex and then he and Forshey had sex, according to documents.
