Rotary club accepting requests

LEWISTOWN – The Rotary Club of Lewistown invites prospective non-profit organizations, governments, agencies, schools, etc. to submit project proposals for funding consideration.

The club has a maximum of $30,000 available during this funding cycle.

The group is seeking proposals that especially target three specific areas of Rotary International focus including health – with an emphasis on maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, and economic and community development; and requests that address specific needs as identified by the Mifflin-Juniata Community Needs Assessment.

The Rotary Club will also entertain other requests addressing gaps in service.

The proposal should succinctly explain how the requested program, event or project provides an additional level of support, allows others to participate and leverages other sources of funds with a description of how this program may be sustained in the future. Additionally, the proposal should describe Rotary funding’s influence on project success and, conversely, what would be the impact if Rotary was only funding a portion of the proposal.

To request support, please provide the information above and return it to Daniel Searer, for the Rotary Club of Lewistown, or by U.S. mail to Lewistown Rotary, P.O. Box 843, Lewistown, PA, 17044. For more information on this request, please visit the Rotary Club of Lewistown at

Deadline for receipt of these applications is August 18.
