Carnival slated to run July 29 to August 2

McALISTERVILLE – The Fayette Community Carnival will begin Tuesday, July 29 and run until Saturday evening, August 2.

The carnival and parade theme will be “Down on the Farm.”

The carnival will be held in the Lost Creek Community Park, also known as McAlisterville Park. The event will include rides from Bartlebaugh’s Amusements, free entertainment, food, games, Skyshooter Fireworks, a car show, a Chinese auction at the Fayette Fire Hall, a parade and more.

On Tuesday, July 29, the carnival will feature the Lewistown Community Band, the Greenwood Community Band and the East Juniata Jazz Band.

On Wednesday, July 30, the carnival will feature Top Shelf, a country, rock classics and slow tunes band based out of Williamsport. Also, at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Skyshooter will have a fireworks display. The fireworks rain date will be Thursday.

On Thursday, July 31, Faces 4 Radio, a local country/blue grass band will perform.

On Friday, Aug. 1, Special Friends, a local oldies band, will be featured.

The final day on Saturday, Aug. 2, will include the 19th Annual Antique/Classic/Muscle Car Show, the community parade at 4 p.m., a chicken barbecue and square dancing in the evening with Down Yonder.

Throughout carnival week the Fayette Fire Company will have many items on display in the Fayette Fire Hall for their annual Chinese auction drawing, which will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday.
