Agenda items set for July 24
LEWISTOWN During a brief workshop meeting on Thursday, the Mifflin County Commissioners announced the following agenda items for their July 24 business meeting:
A resolution authorizing the chairman and chief clerk to sign a Highway Safety Patrol Grant to be used for sobriety checkpoints and expanded DUI/underage drinking enforcement.
An application for 2014 liquid fuels allocation from Derry Township in the amount of $17,857.49.
A request for the following real estate tax refunds: A parcel in Armagh Township where a mobile home was removed in the amount of $101.46; A parcel in Brown Township where a double-wide home was removed in the amount of $252.49; and a parcel in Derry Township where the value was reduced following an appeal hearing in the amount of $41.20.
The Mifflin County Commissioners regularly meet at 9 a.m. on the first, second, third and fourth Thursdays of each month on the second floor of the Mifflin County Courthouse, located at 20 North Wayne St., Lewistown.
