Youth baseball league to use batting cages
YEAGERTOWN – The Derry Township Board of Supervisors voted Monday to send a draft lease agreement to the Mifflin County Youth Baseball Inc., for use of the batting cages at Kish Park.
Chairman John McCullough said there are still things that need to be done at the facility before MCYB can use the batting cages, but he said at least the lease agreement between the township and MCYB could be approved in the meantime.
In other business:
The township will move forward with putting a lien on a property owned by Keith Mowery for failure to properly maintain it;
Bids will be accepted online through Municibid for the township’s 2007 Leaf Collection Vac;
The Derry Township Board of Supervisors regularly meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at the Derry Township Municipal Building in Yeagertown.
