JCSD ready to search for new super
MIFFLINTOWN – There may be a new face to the Juniata County School District next school year.
The district’s board of directors conducted a brief business meeting Tuesday evening to approve a contract with the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit to conduct a superintendent search. The search is pending the anticipated receipt of Superintendent Richard J. Musselman’s resignation.
Musselman, who has served as superintendent of Juniata County schools since 2011, is expected to transfer to the same position within the Midd-West School District. His contract was approved there on Monday during a meeting of the school board of directors.
This was the only business on JCSD’s meeting agenda.
The next meeting of the JCSD board of directors is set for 8 p.m. June 19 at Fermanagh-Mifflintown Elementary School.
