Local Boy Scouts to hold reunion
SPRING MILLS – The Boy Scouts of America in Mifflin and Juniata counties are hosting a reunion event open to all current and past volunteers, Scout leaders and parents living in the area.
The reunion will be held at 6:30 p.m. on July 10 at Seven Mountains Scout Camp, 227 Sand Mountain Road, Spring Mills. The event is free.

Department of Health to offer free clinic
PORT ROYAL – The Pennsylvania Department of Health offers a free clinic from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Juniata County State Health Center, 809 Market St., Port Royal.
The DoH provides STD testing, HIV testing and counseling, and pregnancy testing. For more information or to make an appointment, call 527-4185.

Swim lessons to be held at McClure pool
McCLURE – American Red Cross accredited swimming lessons will be held at the McClure Veteran’s Memorial Pool from June 23 thru July 3.
Red Cross certified instructors will instruct the lessons. Bus transportation will be provided to the swimming pool from Super Service Garage in Beavertown and the MACC in Beaver Springs on lesson days. Transportation leaves the Super Service Garage at 9 a.m. and M.A.C.C. at 9:15 a.m. and returns to M.A.C.C. at 11:30 a.m. and Super Service at 11:45 a.m.

BEAVERTOWN – The Beavertown Historical Society has items available in honor of the Beavertown Borough Centennial.
Numbered Centennial coins are $12. The borough seal in antique gold color is on one side. The Centennial logo in full color is on the other. Limited run of 200 coins.
The hardcover book “Charles Maxwell Kearns Automobile Pioneer: 1907 to 1929” contains photos and facts about the history of the Kearns Automobile. Cost is $25.

Memorial Pool to hold swim lessons
McCLURE – The McClure Veterans memorial pool will hold swim lessons from June 23 through July 3.
Lessons for levels 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be held from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. and lessons for levels 1 and 2 will be held from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m.

U.S. 522 bridge work scheduled
SELINSGROVE – The placement of an epoxy overlay on the U.S. 522 truss bridge spanning Penns Creek just north of Selinsgrove will begin on June 5.
The same detour that was used last year during the bridge construction will be implemented again. Northbound traffic will be detoured during the work. The detour will be U.S. 522, Market Street, state Route 35, U.S. 11-15 northbound. The local-traffic detour route will be Airport Road, Mill Road, state Route 204 and U.S. 522.
Prime contractor Susquehanna Supply Co. completed the majority of the work last year, but due to project delays the epoxy overlay had to be pushed back.
Weather permitting; this work will take approximately two weeks.
