Commissioners set agenda for meeting
LEWISTOWN – During a brief workshop meeting on Thursday, the Mifflin County Commissioners announced the following agenda items for their June 12 business meeting:
Review and approval of Mifflin County’s 2013 Community Development Block Grant subrecipient agreements. James Lettiere, community development administrator, said the federal funds for 2013 have been released for the following recipients: Municipal Authority of the Borough of Lewistown, Mount Union Municipal Authority, SEDA-Council of Governments Housing Development Corporation, Juniata Terrace Borough and the Mifflin-Juniata Dental Clinic.
A proclamation recognizing the Mifflin-Juniata Relay for Life.
The reappointment of James Shilling, of Lewistown, as the county’s representative to the SEDA-COG Foundation Board and Revolving Loan Committee for a three-year term expiring July 1, 2017.
The appointment of Kristen Price to the Mifflin County Housing Authority to fill a vacant term which expires Dec. 31, 2015.
The appointment of Aaron Stutter as an intern in the assessment office effective June 16.
The promotion of Ronald Knable from part-time to full-time corrections officer effective June 4.
