SUN Area Ag Days to be held May 16-18

SELINSGROVE – Want to participate in something fun? Come on out to our SUN Area Ag Dairy Days on May 16-18. This will be in conjunction with the Middlecreek Valley Antique Spring Show along Old Coloney Road in Selinsgrove. There is something fun for everyone.

On Friday, May 16 from 4-7p.m., Selinsgrove FFA, Snyder County Conservation District, PA Game Commission, and SUM Child Development will be having kids activates. At 6:30 p.m. are cheese tasting and a local celebrity cow milking contest. Our contestants are Drew Kelly from 94 WQKX, Nikki Krize from WNEP-TV, Snyder County Commissioner Joe Kantz, Denise Keefer from West Milton State Bank, Selinsgrove Field Hockey Coach Cathy Keiser, Mifflinburg Field Hockey Coach Jayme Longacre, Middleburg girls Softball U10 Coach Aaron Shiltz, late model race car driver Tony Adams, and others.

Saturday May 17 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. is kids safety day activities by Geisinger Trauma, Peifer Fire Protection, Penn State Cooperative Extension, Selinsgrove DH&L, Snyder County Farm Bureau, Snyder County 911 Communications, Snyder County Sheriff’s Department, SUM Child Development, and SUN Area Dairy Princess Promotion. From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. is a Burn Demonstration by Peifer Fire Protection. At 2 p.m. is Kids Pedal Pulls (ages 3-10). At 7 p.m. is our SUN Area Dairy Princess Pageant with a milk punch reception afterward.

Sunday, May, 18 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Eager Beaver 4-H club, Kreamer All 4 one 4-H club, Penn State Cooperative Extension, and Trout Unlimited will be having kid’s games.
