Police: 3 compliant after liquor enforcement check
LEWISTOWN – Three Mifflin County establishments licensed to serve alcohol passed a compliance check conducted Saturday by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.
BLCE said supervised underage buyers were used in an attempt to purchase alcoholic beverages. Pitcher’s Pour House, Log Cabin Inn and Smitty’s Sports Bar were found to be compliant, according to the report.
Police said employees of these establishments challenged the underage buyer to produce identification and, after reviewing it, recognized the underage buyer was not at least 21 years old and refused service.
