LEWISTOWN – The Mifflin County Industrial Development Corporation held its annual meeting on Tuesday to discuss new projects and elect its board of directors, officers and executive committee.

The board is exploring a new capital project to repair the roofs of several buildings in the MCIDC plaza this year that will require a $1 million investment. Funding for the project is expected to come from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority and local financial institution.

In conjunction with this roof work, MCIDC hopes to make energy savings improvements.

The board also granted an easement for the Water Authority to extend some water lines in the MCIDC industrial park as part of the construction on Expansion Drive.

The following people were elected to the MCIDC Board of Directors for the term expiring in 2018:

David Borland, Donald Chapman, Fran Evanitsky, David T. Filson, Daniel Firth, Ruth Fisher, Marie Mulvihill, Phyllis Palm, Steve Palm and James Tunall. Term expiring 2015: Gina Mazza. Term expiring 2016: Daniel Potutschnig.

The following officers were elected for the 2014-2015 term: Chair, William Lake, First Vice Chair, Ruth Eddy, Second Vice Chair, Phyllis Palm Sr., Secretary/Treasurer, James Spendiff, Executive Secretary, Robert P. Postal.

The following people were elected to the Executive Committee: Donald Chapman, Adele Craig, Ruth Fisher, Gerald Hummel, Gary Oden and Robert S. Wilson.
