Lions Club recruiting youth for new service group

RICHFIELD – The Richfield Lions Club is recruiting youth to form a new service club.

The Lions are seeking 20 or more local youth to join and be charter members of the new Leo Club. Members will lead and operate their own club by selecting service projects and activities.

According to a press release, Chris Kuhn, a member of the Richfield Lions Club, will serve as club advisor.

“A number of our Lions members dream of having more local youth involved in community service, working side-by-side with the Lions,” Kuhn said in the release. “We believe sponsorship of this Leo Club will have a great benefit to our community.”

Kuhn said Lions and Leos give back to the community through their work.

A Leo Club formation meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. April 22 at the Richfield Community Building, according to a brochure for the club.

Lions clubs sponsor approximately 5,800 Leo Clubs in 140 countries, the release states. For more information, call Chris Kuhn at 694-3894, email, visit the lions website at or visit the Richfield Lions Club website at
