Juniata County Commissioners tackle routine business Tuesday

MIFFLINTOWN – The Juniata County Commissioners met for a brief business meeting Tuesday morning in Mifflintown.

During the meeting, the board:

Reviewed the county’s March 2014 Adult and Juvenile Probation Report, prepared by Michelle A. Beaver, chief probation officer.

Approved the cooperative site use agreement between Juniata County and the Pennsylvania Game Commission, recommended by Allen Weaver, emergency services director. The cost to the county is the maintenance of the site and generator.

Approved the agreement between Juniata County and Mifflin-Juniata Human Services for grant administration for a sum not to exceed $1,909, submitted by Allison Fisher, human services director. The term of the contract is July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014.

Approved checks Nos. 39,995 through 40,108 in the amount of $156,719.54.

Commissioner Robert Reynolds was not present at the meeting.

The next regular business meeting of the Juniata County Commissioners is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Bousum Building, in Mifflintown.
