Woman accused of assaulting juvenile
MOUNT UNION – A woman has been charged with aggravated assault against a juvenile after an investigation at a home in Mount Union Borough, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon.
Police said Virginia L. Walters, 32, of Mount Union, got into a fight with the juvenile and hit him in the head and face with a closed fist numerous times. According to the report, the juvenile was treated at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital and released into the custody of Huntingdon County Children and Youth Services.
Police said Walters was arrested for aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Mary G. Jamison’s office and she was placed in the Huntingdon County Jail, according to the report from police.
