Police: 3-car crash kills 1

PORT ROYAL – One woman is dead after a three-car accident Tuesday in Beale Township, according to a report from State Police Lewistown.

Police said the woman, who police have yet to publicly identify pending notification of family, was driving a Pontiac G5 and was traveling south on state Route 35. According to the report, she attempted to turn left onto Academia Road and turned into the path of Elyse Patrick, 26, of Lewistown, who was driving a Chevrolet Cruze north on state Route 35, causing a head-on collision.

According to the report, Brandon Schreck, 19, of Middleburg, was driving behind the woman in a Dodge Dakota and was hit by Patrick. Police said this caused more contact between the woman and Patrick.

According to the report, the woman was not wearing a seat belt, Schreck was wearing one and it is unknown if Patrick was wearing one. Police said Patrick suffered injuries and Schreck was not injured during the crash.

Police were assisted on the scene by Beale Township Fire Co., Mifflintown Hose Company, Mifflin Fire Department and Central Juniata EMS, according to the report.
