Soccio to remain as Burnham Borough Council president

BURNHAM – The Burnham Borough Council re-appointed both the president and vice president of the council during a Monday night meeting.

The council voted to have Robert Soccio continue to act as council president and Rodney Barger as council vice president. The council also acknowledged the resignation of council member William Benny and appointed James Wentle to the council to fill the open position.

The council also voted on the following positions:

Lisa Jyl Hayes will continue to act as borough secretary/treasurer

Jeff Snook as Solicitor

Keller Engineers as the borough engineers

CET Engineer as the borough sanitary sewer engineer

Boyer and Ritter as the borough auditors

Juniata Valley Bank as the depositors of borough funds

Soccio and Barger will continue to be the representatives for the Mifflin County Regional Police Board, with Soccio being the voting member

Residents who served on various boards were all reappointed if the position had been expired

The Burnham Borough Council meets at 7 p.m. the first Monday of each month, with the third Monday being used as the council sees the need.
