Search warrant executed on car of robbery suspect
MOUNT UNION – The Huntingdon County District Attorney’s office approved a search warrant for the vehicle involved in the attempted robbery of Peight’s Country Store in Mount Union store on Jan. 24.
According to the release from the DA’s office, the vehicle being searched belonged to Ryan Shade, who is the suspect in the attempted robbery. Pennsylvania State Police Troopers Davis and Guent executed the warrant and searched the vehicle around 10 a.m., according to the report. According to the report, a knife, measuring 7 inches in length and 3 inches wide, was found in the vehicle. Also found were several used syringes and what appeared to be used heroin bags. The knife found in the vehicle matched the description of the knife used in the attempted robbery, according to the release.
According to the release, due to the quick response and coordinated efforts of Pennsylvania State Police and Mount Union Borough Police, Shade was quickly identified and taken into custody.
