Mifflin County commissioners to discuss reappointments on Jan. 9

LEWISTOWN During a brief workshop meeting on Thursday, the Mifflin County Commissioners announced the following agenda items for their Jan. 9 business meeting:

The re-appointment of Mark Lawson of Lewistown to another five-year term on the Mifflin County Housing Authority.

A request for exoneration of 2013 real estate tax bills for two parcels in Granville Township that have been designated as Keystone Opportunity Zones.

The following re-appointments to the Agricultural Land Preservation Board for three-year terms: Raymond Snyder, of Lewistown, Frank Bonson, of Milroy, and William Haughwout, of Belleville.

A change to the effective date of the hiring of Cindy Leister as a case coordinator in the courts to Jan. 6.

The resignation of Darcie Crock as a secretary in the Human Services office effective Jan. 3.
