Lewistown man shoved officer, police say

LEWISTOWN – The Lewistown Police Department has charged one Lewistown man with aggravated assault after an incident on Jan. 9, according to a report from police.

Police said they responded to a residence on Central Avenue around 9:15 p.m., for a report of a Life Line activation alarm. According to the report, officers arrived at the residence and found two victims, one o whom had activated the alarm after an alleged assault from a family member.

According to the report, after interviewing the two victims, the male involved, Robert W. Wileman, 51, of Lewistown, interfered becoming disorderly and shoved an officer. Police said officers subsequently subdued Wileman and placed him under arrest.

Police said Wileman was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on the following charges: aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple assault, harassment and recklessly endangering another person.

His bail was set at $20,000, according to online MCCF records.
