Republicans sweep Lewistown Borough Council seats
LEWISTOWN – The four Republican candidates each earned a four-year term on Lewistown Borough Council, according to unofficial election results.
The leading vote getter was Mark Lawson, who received 994 votes. He will be joined on the council by Russell A. Rager, who received 776 votes, Larry D. Searer, who secured 774 votes and Matthew B. Moore, who received 676 votes, according to unofficial election results.
Democrats Judi Smith, who received 532 votes and Justin Trego, who received 495 votes, did not win a seat on council.
Running unopposed for a two-year term was Gregory P. O’Donnell. He secured 1,085 votes.
