Police: 2 in custody for forgery, theft

YEAGERTOWN – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown have charged two people from Northhampton with multiple counts of forgery, conspiracy and theft by deception for allegedly passing counterfeit $100 bills in the area.

Police said Stacy Lynn Miller, 25, and Mohammed Abughaniyeh, 29, were apprehended through a joint investigation by the Mifflin County Regional Police Department and state police after police found out the two had returned to the area.

The report said Miller and Abughaniyeh were arraigned through Magisterial District Judge Aaron L. Gingrich’s office and then placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and they are asking anyone having contact with the accused or who has accepted money from them to call the state police at 320-1010.
