First Baptist Church holds patriotic service

MIFFLINTOWN – The annual patriotic service was held Nov. 10 in the Family Ministry Center at First Baptist Church of Juniata County.

The service honored all veterans and gave special recognition to World War II veterans.

Four WWII veterans were in attendance: Clarence Hibbs, Robert Murrell, Daniel Yoder and Blair E. Yorks Sr.

Other veterans in attendance were: Harold Amey, Earl L. Brewer, Graham Hess, Bill Knepper, Clifton Reik, Ted Wagner, Don Wheeler, Tim Uhler and Dave Warner from the U.S. Air Force; Barry Reichenbach, Mark Turns Sr., James Wheeler and Fina P. Williams II, of the U.S. Army; Buddy Kilby, John Owens and John Pontius, of the U.S. Marines; Don Brown, Dave Eby, Samuel Goshorn Jr., Patrick Smith and Jim Reagan, of the U.S. Navy; and Ray Baker, Ron Bell, Brian Clark, Donald Clark, Susie Clark, Jim Hosler and Dave Wagner, of the Pennsylvania National Guard/Army Reserves. Retired Marine John Sargent was the special guest.
