2 men arrested in Mount Union burglary cases

MOUNT UNION – Mount Union Police have charged and served multiple warrants to two local males in a string of local burglaries.

Police said Joshua Myers, 30, of Mount Union, and Dale Bishop, 26, of Petersburg, have had charges filed against them after a lengthy investigation into numerous burglaries in the Mount Union area.

According to a report, the investigation was in cooperation with Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon. Police said charges filed against both include criminal conspiracy, burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and other related offenses. The report also said additional charges have been filed against Myers and Bishop from Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said the charges filed stem from burglaries committed during early September at the following locations: Dimoff Plumbing and Heating, on North Jefferson Street, Shapiro Flooring, on West Shirley Street, a residence on West Pennsylvania Avenue, Saint Catherine Catholic Church, on West Market Street, and Saint Luke Lutheran Church, on South Jefferson Street.
