More than a million people have visited the 40-foot duck, according to estimates from the park and local hotels, and almost 5,000 area residents signed a petition seeking to keep the duck afloat in Pittsburgh. Despite the push to keep the duck afloat, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust planned to deflate, dry and store it at an undisclosed warehouse in the city on Sunday.
