Police charge woman in truck collision with train
MATTAWANA – Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown have released the name of the woman who parked her pick-up truck on train tracks and resisted arrest.
According to the updated report, Viola Boyd, 22, of Newton Hamilton, drove onto the railroad tracks on state Route 103, near Shearer Lane, Bratton Tonwship, on Sept. 22. Police said Boyd got out of her truck prior to the collision with a Norfolk Southern train. According to the report, Boyd had an active warrant out for her arrest from Huntingdon County and resisted arrest at the time of this incident. Police said charges have been filed against Boyd whyo was transported to the Mifflin County Jail, then released to the Sheriff’s Department.
