Two men charged with burglary

LEWISTOWN – Two men have been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $2,000 in tools and power equipment from a Walnut Street garage, according to a report from Lewistown Police Department.

Police said Shane L. Booher, 24, of Pannebaker Avenue, Lewistown, and Dale H. Bishop Jr., 26, most recently of Mount Union, were arrested after police with a warrant searched a garage at the rear of 163 Pannebaker Ave., Lewistown, and recovered property that was taken in the Aug. 27 burglary.

Booher and Bishop were charged with conspiracy, burglary, theft, criminal trespass and receiving stolen property and placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility pending further court action, the report states.

According to MCCF’s website, Booher was committed in lieu of $150,000 bail on Wednesday, while Bishop was committed to MCCF in lieu of $100,000 bail on Friday.
