CPW to host Jake ‘the Snake’ Roberts
LEWISTOWN – Jake “the Snake” Roberts, a former World Wrestling Federation superstar of the 1980s, is making a comeback to the wrestling ring. Central Pennsylvania Wrestling arranged for his tour to include a stop at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Lewistown Armory.
His team will include CPW wrestlers Rock N Rebel, Ox Hogg and James “Bulldog” Dylan.
Dylan, who competes in the central Pennsylvania area, said through his friendship with Roberts they were able to bring the event to Lewistown.
“For six months Jake and I have had a friendship and central Pennsylvania is my area and we wanted to give back to the fans,” he said.
Stevie Richards, a WWE superstar, also will be in attendance. He and Roberts will both sign autographs and take pictures with the fans.
For Dylan, this event is all about the local fan base.
“It’s all about the fans, to put on a family oriented show and give them the entertainment they paid for,” he said.
This event also will mark a comeback for Dylan, who recently lost a significant amount of weight.
“I’ve lost 80 pounds since the last show. It’s kind of a fresh start for me,” he said.
Dylan said the weight loss came by using DDP Yoga. There will be a class taught by Richards and Dylan from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday at 120 N. Juniata St., Lewistown. The cost for the class is $20 and includes an autograph. People can register for the class by calling Dylan at 543-7857, or find him on Facebook.
Advance tickets for the wrestling match are available for purchase through Saturday morning at the West End Service Store, 437 W. Fourth St., Lewistown. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door on Saturday.
