Commissioners tend to brief list of business items
MIFFLINTOWN – The Juniata County Commissioners met Tuesday in Mifflintown to take action on a brief list of business items.
During the meeting, the board of commissioners:
Approved the agreement between the Juniata Valley Bank and the Juniata County Commissioners to increase the total aggregate ACH credit limit to $50,000.
Approved the master service agreement between Juniata County and Nittany Media Inc. for data transport and Internet port services, as recommended by Geise Associates.
Ratified the DCED Home Program Contract No. C000054883, in the amount of $500,000 for a contract activity period of Aug. 14, 2013 through Aug. 13, 2018. The initial home application was approved during the June 19, 2012, board meeting.
Ratified CDBG-IDIS check No. 1,175 in the amount of $24,651.32 to Tuscarora Township for the communications tower project, submitted by Brad Kerstetter, planning director.
Accepted the Juniata County Victims of Juvenile Offenders grant, subgrant No. 2013-VJ-ST-24696, in the amount of $3,889, submitted by Sylvia Middaugh, victim witness program coordinator.
Approved checks Nos. 38,314 to 38,348 in the amount of $102,620.80.
Tabled action on a bid of $1,442.19 from Hillary A. Haines for Tax Parcel 5-7-36, as per documentation submitted by Andrew L. Winder, county solicitor.
The commissioners meet each 10 a.m. each Tuesday Bousum Building in Mifflintown.
