2 plead guilty in local armed robbery case

LEWISTOWN – Two men, one from Baltimore and one from Harrisburg, who allegedly robbed a Burnham resident at gunpoint pleaded guilty on Tuesday in the Mifflin County Court of Common Pleas.

Demont C. Hodo, 22, of Baltimore pleaded guilty to one count of robbery, while Donnie Wright, 26, of Harrisburg pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking and was sentenced to three and half to 12 months in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility. Hodo will be sentenced following an investigation by Mifflin County Probation and Parole Department.

Hodo and Wright went to a residence on June 18, on South Walnut Street in Burnham, where Hodo displayed a firearm and robbed Daniel Foxx of approximately $1,300, police said.

Foxx reported the robbery to police moments after the two defendants fled the scene. The Pennsylvania State Police apprehended Wright and Hodo on U.S. 322 in Juniata County, according to court documents.

Police said they recovered the money and the firearm used in the incident.
