Call-A-Ride to get $430,920

LEWISTOWN – During a brief business meeting on Thursday, the Mifflin County Commissioners approved the following agenda items:

The annual Medical Assistance Transportation Program Grant Agreement and allocation for fiscal year 2013-14 in the amount of $430,920 to be used for the Call-A-Ride program.

An agreement with Avanco International Inc. of McLean, Va. for the Children & Youth Child Accounting and Profile System application services for the purposes of mandated county-related business support for the period of July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Also, an agreement with Avanco International for mandated consulting services and support for the period of July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014 at a cost not to exceed $30,000. It was noted during the meeting that the county will receive 80 percent reimbursement from the state on the above two items.

An application for 2013 Liquid Fuels Allocation from Brown Township in the amount of $10,098.67.

The annual contract between the county and the Area Agency on Aging for the Medical Assistance Transportation Program for the period of July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014.

A grant agreement for transitional housing between the county and Shelter Services Inc. for the period of Feb. 1, 2013 to Jan. 31, 2014 in the amount of $21,276.

The transfer of Nancy Johnson from case aide in Children & Youth to data entry clerk in the Tax Claim/Voter Registration office effective July 29.

The resignation of Joshua Yoder as a probation officer effective Aug. 2.

Real estate refunds for a parcel in Lewistown Borough in the amount of $177.57, and Derry Township in the amount of $260.34.
