CareerLink to offer GED test in August
LEWISTOWN – The General Educational Development Test is scheduled to be offered at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 20 and 5 p.m. Aug. 21 at the PA CareerLink Mifflin County. The number of participants is limited.
Registration is a two step process. First, complete registration online at www.ged123.org. Participants need a valid email address and the instructional center code 144000. Print the proof of registration form and bring it to registration on Aug. 12 at CareerLink. Registration in person is required at 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. Aug. 12 at CareerLink. A photo ID is required at registration and on both nights of testing. No late starts for registration will be accepted. The $85 testing fee or $17 retest fee must be paid at registration by money orders or cash only in the exact amount.
A Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma will be granted by the Department of Education to any eligible PA resident who satisfactorily completes the GED requirements. For more information, call Jean Pursel at 248-4942 ext. 178.
When preregistering online, all GED test takers in Pennsylvania must enter their Social Security number. Those who do not enter their number will not receive a Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma or transcript.
