Woman charged with rape of boy, 12

LEWISTOWN – An 18-year-old Lewistown woman was arrested on Monday and charged with raping a 12-year-old boy.

In addition to the charge of rape of a child, Brandi Forshey is also charged with another felony, statutory sexual assault, as well as a misdemeanor charge of indecent assault, according to court documents.

Lewistown Police Department was made aware of the alleged assault by the 12-year-old boy’s mother, who initially took upon herself to confront Forshey about the incident. Forshey allegedly admitted to having sexual contact with the woman’s son in April, police said.

Police officers questioned Forshey, who denied the allegations and told them someone was making this up because they didn’t like her, according to court documents.

Police were later notified by the mother of a 16-year-old female that there was an online conversation on a social media website in which Forshey allegedly admits to having sexual contact with the 12-year-old. Police photographed the conversation for their records, according to court documents.

The 12-year-old boy was also interviewed by a specialist at the Child Resource Center, according to documents. During the course of the interview, the boy gave details of the alleged sexual contact he had with Forshey in the early morning hours of April 7, according to documents.

The boy told investigators Forshey asked him if he wanted to have sex and then he and Forshey had sex, according to documents.

Forshey remains incarcerated in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
