Police: Woman stole cash, medicine

BURNHAM – A Lewistown woman was arrested Tuesday after police said she broke into a Burnham residence Monday, fought the home owner and stole cash and prescription medication.

Mifflin County Regional Police Department said officers responded to a residential burglary in progress at 1:37 a.m. at 400 Locust St., Burnham. Police said the subject was dressed in black with a scarf wrapped around her face and entered the occupied residence.

According to the report, the subject was identified by the homeowner as an acquaintance, Angela A. Henry, 32, of Lewistown.

Police said Henry engaged the homeowner in a fight and then took prescription medication and cash before fleeing via the front door. Police said Henry was last seen running up Fourth Street, in Burnham, and officers checked the area but were unable to locate her.

Police said on Tuesday, Henry was located by officers on an unrelated matter and she was taken into custody for charges of burglary, robbery, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. Police said Henry was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jack E. Miller and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

According to the report, police believe that a male suspect was also involved in the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
