Pierce to join race for borough tax collector
LEWISTOWN – Mifflin County resident Beth Anne Pierce has formally announced her candidacy for Lewistown Borough tax collector.
A lifelong resident of the county, Pierce is one of five candidates seeking the Republican nomination for the office. Her experience includes 24 years as an agent for Baltimore Life, and she holds LUTC and CLU certifications in the insurance industry.
“If elected, I will bring a strong work ethic and spirit of personal service to the position,” Pierce said.
Pierce said she is a past member and proud supporter of the 4-H program, and she has been active as chime choir director, secretary of her church council and part of the children’s ministry team at Trinity United Church of Christ. She also is a member of the Women’s Service Club.
She resides with her husband, Randy, and said she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, as well as gardening.
The municipal primary election is May 21.
