Commissioners add slip lining project to agenda

LEWISTOWN – During a brief workshop meeting on Thursday, the Mifflin County Commissioners announced the following agenda items for their June 6 business meeting:

A recommendation for engineering, design and construction of the Borough of Juniata Terrace’s Slip Lining Project, which will be funded by county Community Development Block Grant funds.

A resolution restating the Fair Housing Policy.

Purchase of service agreement for use, if needed, by Children & Youth with Pentz Run Youth Services Inc. of Dubois.

An Internet banking for business application with Juniata Valley Bank.

A resolution utilizing the Juniata Valley Bank’s online banking.

An agreement with Juniata Valley Bank for Automated Clearing House Network transactions.

An ordinance relating to an omnibus revision and amendment of the agreement in relation to the establishment of a mental health and intellectual disability program.

Professional inspection services with EADS Inc. of Altoona in the amount of $5,390.62.

An amendment to the agreement with EADS Inc. of Altoona for additional services to the Monument Square Streetscape project in the amount of $5,000.

The hiring of Nolan R. Schaaf as an intern in the Probation Office effective May 28.

The hiring of Brooke E. Strausser as an intern in the Probation Office effective May 28.

The hiring of Gwendolyn Crouse as an unpaid student intern in the Children & Youth Office effective June 10.
