Police: Man set his father’s yard on fire while intoxicated
McVEYTOWN – A McVeytown man was arrested Saturday for outstanding warrants after he set his father’s yard on fire while intoxicated, police said.
Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown said Raymond Leroy Buchanan Jr., 46, was intoxicated and causing a disturbance around 9:30 p.m. at 220 W. Furnace Road in Oliver Township.
Police said upon arrival, it was determined there were numerous outstanding warrants for Buchanan and he was taken into custody and detained in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
According to the report, charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct were filed against Buchanan.
McVeytown Fire Co. extinguished the fire, police said.
