Police: Man leads chase
MOUNT UNION – A Mill Creek man was arrested on Saturday and faces felony charges after a pursuit that began in Mount Union and ended in a McVeytown foot chase, Mount Union Police Department reports.
Police said Vincent Thompson, 21, of Mill Creek, jumped from a moving vehicle and fled on foot in McVeytown after a pursuit that started around 1:30 a.m. on North Jefferson Street and West Pennsylvania Avenue in Mount Union.
The report states Thompson was taken into custody by troopers from Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon and was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Douglas L. Gummo.
According to the report, felony charges of aggravated assault and fleeing and eluding were filed against Thompson, along with endangering the welfare of another and numerous traffic violations.
Police said Thompson was committed to the Huntingdon County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
