Fire displaces family of four
LEWISTOWN – A family of four was displaced after a fire Sunday night claimed a home at 124 Chesnut St., Lewistown.
Mifflin County Fire Investigator Mike Force said Laura Silva and her three children, ages 12, 10 and 6, are currently being assisted by the American Red Cross, but a press release from the organization states three adults and three children are being
assisted with food, clothing and shelter because of
Force said the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Fire officials at the scene confirmed no one was injured in the blaze.
United Fire and Rescue, West Granville Fire Co., Junction Fire Co., Highland Park Co., Brooklyn Hose Co., East Derry Fire Co., Burnham Fire Co., Granville Fire Co., City Hook and Ladder, Lewistown Police Department, Milroy EMS and Fame EMS and Lewistown, Derry Township and Granville Township fire police assisted at the scene.
