Council approves land plan
BURNHAM – Burnham Borough Council voted at its Monday meeting to approve the Land Development Plan for the update of the wastewater treatment plant as it was submitted to council.
The plan had previously been approved by Mifflin County Planning Commission and Burnham Borough Planning Commission and needed final approval by the Burnham Borough Council.
The council also approved a motion to have the appropriate officers sign the documents for the Land Development Plan.
The council approved a resolution appointing June Uson to the Burnham Borough Planning Commission. The position was vacant since Jan. 1, 2011.
In other business the council:
Approved a resolution appointing Tanya Cash as assistant secretary/treasurer to Borough of Burnham. Cash has been working for the borough for six months.
Voted to make Cash permanent status with a $.50 per hour pay raise.
Approved a resolution which allows Cash’s name on segregated checking accounts and the resolution needed signed by appropriate officials.
Voted to keep Jyl Hayes as Chief Administrative Officer to the Borough Pension Plan.
Asked Solicitor Jeff Snook to write an ordinance for Burnham Fire Company events placing all Burnham Fire Company members under coverage of its insurance.
