Man charged in fight

LEWISTOWN – Two people were charged in connection with a fight involving multiple individuals early Saturday morning along U.S. 522 in Derry Township, Mifflin County Regional Police report.
MCRPD officers were dispatched to a reported fight in progress in the parking lot of Woodward’s ATV around 2:48 a.m. Initial reports indicated a large number of subjects using weapons, police said.
Upon their arrival at the scene, officers observed a large group of males fighting, and several of the subjects were using 2×4 boards as weapons, according to the report. Officers also observed one male subject strike another male in the head with a 2×4 before they restored order and began identifying the parties involved, the report states.
Police said Justin S. Herb, 30, of Lewistown, hit Nicholas Stuck with the wooden board. Stuck was transported to Lewistown Hospital by Fame EMS for treatment of injuries to his head and face, according to the report. A nursing supervisor at the hospital was unable to provide a condition update for Stuck on Sunday evening.
Herb was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment of another person and resisting arrest, and he also is on Pennsylvania state parole, the report states. He was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on a state parole detainer in addition to $30,000 bail in connection with the criminal charges.
Police said Tiffany J. Fisher, 29, of Reedsville, also was charged in connection with the incident. Fisher was arrested for DUI and charges are pending the results of a blood test, according to the report.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected to be filed when it is complete, police said. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police at 248-1900, ext. 612.
