Chief: Monthly incidents increased from last year
YEAGERTOWN – Total incidents in February are up 33 percent compared to February 2012, Mifflin County Regional Police Chief Scott Mauery said at a Board of Directors meeting on Thursday.
Mauery said, “The weather is getting better so incidents will be up.”
Criminal arrests have fallen from 49 in February 2012 to 24 in February 2013, a 48 percent decrease.
Mauery said the decrease is uncontrollable on the part of MCRPD.
In other business, the board:
Voted to pay around $6,000 to the non-uniform pension after waiting to get a recommendation from the state.
Voted to move around $5,000 from a surplus in workers compensation and around $42,000 from withholding to its capital reserve fund.
Approved the February monthly activity reports.
Approved the February financial reports.
The Mifflin County Regional Police Department Board of Directors meets at 5:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at its building in Yeagertown.
