Winter Weather Advisory issued for Mifflin, Huntingdon counties
LEWISTOWN – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a winter weather advisory for Mifflin and Huntingdon counties, which is in effect form 5 a.m. until noon Tuesday.
The NWS said light freezing rain or sleet will begin shortly before dawn and should quickly change to a period of snow during the mid-morning. Total snow accumulation is expected to be one to two inches, according to the NWS.
Winds are expected to be at 10 to 15 miles per hour out of the south to southeast with temperatures in the mid-20s to lower 30s, the NWS said.
