Council to vote on Police Mutual aid agreement

BURNHAM – The Burnham Borough Council approved at its Monday night meeting a motion to advertise a vote on the Police Mutual Aid Agreement.

The agreement was discussed at the most recent Mifflin County Regional Police Department board meeting with District Attorney Dave Molek and will allow cooperating police departments to make arrests in other jurisdictions regarding to DUI and drug task forces.

Council opened bids for the First Avenue bridge project but approved a motion to table all bids until the next meeting.

Council approved minutes from its January meeting and also approved a motion to pay its bills.

Burnham Borough Council normally meets at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of every month at its building in Burnham.
