LEWISTOWN – Deb Civitts, of Belleville, has announced she is seeking the Republican nomination for the office of Mifflin County treasurer.

Civitts has an associate degree from South Hills Business School. She has worked in the accounting and computer fields for the last 20 years. Twelve of those years were as second deputy beginning in 2001 and first deputy treasurer from 2010 until present.

She has served on the Republican Committee as Brown Township committee person and as treasurer of the Republican Women of Action, and also auditor for Brown Township.

“I believe my degree, my complete knowledge of the offices, and my experience would enable me to be efficient and effective from day one as Mifflin County treasurer. I would be a full-time working treasurer. I give my best to help Mifflin County customers, and customers from other counties and states. I kindly ask for your vote on Election Day,” Civitts said.
