Man, 25, charged in Mount Union robbery

MOUNT UNION – The Mount Union Police Department arrested Bower Booher, 25, on Thursday and charged him with robbery and other related offenses.

Police said Booher entered the Puff n Snuff store on West Shirley Street at 5:13 p.m. on Jan. 20, and robbed the clerk at gun point.

Mount Union Police along with the Huntingdon County Detective Bureau, the Huntingdon County Sheriff’s Office, the Pennsylvania State Police at Huntingdon, the Attorney General’s Office and the District Attorney’s office secured search warrant for a residence on Spring Avenue in Allenport.

Additional charges may be filed as a result of that search.

The gun used in the robbery was also recovered by police, and is described as a BB gun, police said.
