‘Hot 20’ from PSU to air at 9 a.m. today

UNIVERSITY PARK — Tens of thousands of fans converged on the second-largest stadium in the Western Hemisphere to celebrate a historic day for central Pennsylvania, and along with them was Country Music Television’s Cody Alan, to film the latest CMT Hot 20 Countdown.

Happy Valley Jam was held July 8 at Beaver Stadium, on the campus of Penn State University.

Recording artist and “The Voice” judge Blake Shelton headlined the event, which also included performances from Chris Young, Big & Rich, David Ray and Adley Stump. The cast and crew of CMT caught the concert on tape with behind-the-scenes interviews with the artists. The show’s host also toured Penn State’s campus, visiting historic local landmarks including the Nittany Lion Shrine, Old Main and The Berkey Creamery.

The show debuts at 9 a.m. today on CMT.
