Mifflin County Library has a special visitor
LEWISTOWN – Last Saturday, Sgt. William Roberts and K-9 Officer Tank from the Lewistown Police Department visited the Mifflin County Library to talk with children and their families about what it is like to be a police officer and handler to a canine police dog. Everyone in attendance enjoyed learning about police duties.
The library’s series of programs on safety for children will continue today at the library’s Kish Branch in Belleville. Volunteer firemen from Belleville Fire Company will arrive at 10 a.m. to teach children how to stay safe in a fire. Children will also have the opportunity to explore a fire truck.
