Bon Ton Building sold to group of 3
LEWISTOWN — The Bon-Ton building, located on Market Street in Lewistown, was officially sold on Feb. 20, according to public documents filed with the Mifflin County Recorder of Deeds.
Documents state that Thomas, Nadine and Tamera Miller purchased the building for $150,000. Attempts to contact the new owners by press time Friday were unsuccessful.
In April 2018, a bankruptcy court hearing was held, during which the sale and liquidation details of 260 retail establishments owned by Bon-Ton Stores Inc. were approved. In January, the Lewistown store was one of 10 department store properties auctioned in New York. Real estate advisory and brokerage firm A&G Realty Partners organized the bankruptcy auction, which included properties located in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana and Illinois. The Lewistown Bon-Ton was the only store on the auction list located in Pennsylvania.
