Jack Miller recertified as MDJ

HARRISBURG — Magisterial District Judge Jack E. Miller has been recertified for service as a magisterial district judge after recently completing continuing legal education course work.

Conducted by the Minor Judiciary Education Board and the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, the educational program for magisterial district judges is held in Harrisburg.

Continuing education course work is required by statute of each of the more than 500 Pennsylvania magisterial district judges, with approximately 50 magisterial district judges attending one of 13 such classes during the academic year.

Miller is the magisterial district judge for District 58-3-01, which encompasses most of Lewistown Borough, the boroughs of Juniata Terrace, McVeytown, Newton Hamilton and Kistler and Bratton, Granville, Oliver and Wayne townships, in Mifflin County.

Miller is running unopposed for re-election in

November.
